My Approach
“One said that Moses was drawn into the cloud and ascended into the firmament... like a butterfly until he reached the Holy One.”
- Midrash Tanchuma, Ki Tisa 31a
Jewish wisdom provides a context for emerging into our best selves. Jewish rituals, those we know and those we have yet to create, help us mark these moments of transformation.
We are always in transition: evolving, growing, and adapting to the world around us. I am here to help you access and apply the wisdom and depth of Jewish teachings and traditions in concrete ways during liminal moments. We will work together to mark a transition in your life. Let’s lift our eyes together and when we do, we will gain clarity and perspective; we will notice seemingly hidden elements that were actually always there, and we will then be enabled to engage it in our world in new and beautiful ways.
Judaism has survived because it has always been a religion that adapted to current realities. Ours is a creative, dynamic tradition. I dedicate my work to the first generation of women rabbis, the vatikot, who continue to teach me what it means to create rituals for lifecycle moments that had previously never been marked. May future generations know a Judaism where such rituals are commonplace.
